From the top that's Robin Hood, Marion, Little John, Much the Miller's Son and Scarlet (yes he's female now).

Geeks, 3MY, HCF and Comic $astards review Robin Hood

"Set in a not-too-distant future of the year 2020, the Robin Hood tale of taking from the rich and giving to the poor is given a modern twist to reflect the current economical climate and the rich/poor divide which is becoming increasibly noticable in today’s broken Britain. Unemployment is at an all-time high, whilst politicians and bankers claim on expenses and accrue mind-blowing bonuses that us mere working-class could only dream about.
Daley creates some fantastic scenes including Eton, Westminster and Sheffield. The action takes place in a variety of outdoor and indoor locations, taking the reader on a journey through all the different scandalous scenarios that are prevalent in today’s Britain."
Full Review at http://horrorcultfilms.co.uk/2013/03/robin-hood-2020-issue-one-there-is-no-conspiracy/

"Robin Hood 2020, not too much has changed in the UK – the rich are still rich, and they’re still running the show. That is until some people decide to make a stand.
This is quite an introductory issue, with a lot going on between a whole cast of characters – we get a look at ‘Scarlet’, ‘Robin’, ‘John’, ‘Marion’  and more. There’s a lot of facts and statistics here, which make this issue an impressive read.
Although there is a lot to take in here, it feels like there is nothing missing, in among the action and facts there is some excellent character development – already! – which can only build and move on within the series.
This is a comic that is something different – calling from the old Robin Hood/Zorro/V For Vendetta in feeling, but with something added!"

"I will say this about the writing; the villains of this story are detestable and there isn’t a single likable thing about them. They’re people that if you met them in real life you would possible spit in their face and walk away. Real dredges of society and so in that regard I loved them. If the villain doesn’t make you feel anything then they’re not a villain.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t your typical Robin Hood story as it deals with conspiracies and corruption more than it is about stealing bags of money and slipping it to poor people. It’s a high concept story that has a great and very realistic conspiracy about England’s current economy. It’s rich with social commentary and so if you’re interested then you should check it out. Also there’s no damn bows and arrows so be grateful for that because I for one am tired of that shit."

"Unfortunately, I disliked the portrayal of Robin, who uses a pistol – a weapon that is certainly not one used by the British people he represents. Still, that’s a personal problem and I do like the disillusioned soldier model for our hero.
While the issue is somewhat heavy-handed in it’s message, I think that this has the potential to grow into an intriguing series. There are some rough edges to work out in the dialogue and art, but by no means should this put you off picking up a copy to check out."

MPs claim £3,750 each for Thatcher Tribute

MPs returning to Parliament early to pay tribute to Margaret Thatcher can claim £3,750 in expences from tax payers.

How long would it take you to save £3,750 after paying you bills, food, rent/mortgage, general living costs, 1, 2, 3, 4 months, one year, two years or more?

The tax payer will pay for the, in all but name, 'State Funeral' and will also have to pay for Policing of the event as there are concerns over security, as many of the electorate (tax payers) did not share the opinion of the political elite in regards of Thatchers legacy.

The long-term unemployed and the underclass that exist in our society were created by the policies introduced by her Government in the 1980's. Unemployment was 1.4M when Thatcher came to power, she more than doubled that and the numbers have never gone below the 1979 level since, the economic strategy of this country is built on high unemployment. The complete collapse on manufacturing was overseen by her Government and the Governments that have done little to change the situation.

Only 7% of the electorate are educated at independent schools, but they make up 35% of the Members of Parliament. This same elite monopolise all high paid employment in the Private Sector, as C.E.O's of Banks and all other Businesses and even Charities. In the Public Sector, they become Mayors, Police Comissioners and high ranking Civil Servants.

They run this country and have run this country into the ground and will continue to do so, while blaiming the unemployed they create with their political policies.

This isnt the arrogance of youth, this is confidence of certainty

This has to stop, call for equal representation in Parliament, 93% of the electorate are State Educated, 93% of MPs should come form State Schools. Would you support an e-petition to Parliament asking them to debate this lack of equality in Britain http://cdgraphicnovels.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/e-petition-to-parliament.html

Horror Cult Film Reviews Robin Hood 2020

Bat, the Web-Mistress gives CDComics Robin Hood 2020 the Horror Cult Film review treatment.

Here's few comments...
"This comic about a group fighting back, in a time where people seem more preoccupied with the world of celebrity and who’s winning X Factor, is a much needed breathe of fresh air and satires the current world we live in. Though the comic is quite serious in nature, the story does include a bit of dry wit... This is certainly a different take for Daley but an enjoyable and thought-provoking one and I look forward to seeing what information is uncovered in the future comic."

Robin Hood Sheffield or Nottingham?

Nottingham has long held claim to the ownership of the Robin Hood legend, but early historical references have Robin coming from the village of Loxley. Loxley is now a district within Sheffield's city boundaries and is just east of Hillsborough. Sheffield's claim is also supported by historical documents linking Little John to Barnsley, that borders Sheffield to the North.

CDComics previously reclaimed the Victorian bogeyman, Spring Heeled Jack from the Penny Dreadfuls of London and with the release of Robin Hood 2020 are reclaiming the outlaw who steals from the rich to give to the poor and have set the narrative just seven years into a dystopian future.
Robin Hood 2020 is available to download from the various websites listed below, priced around $1.99/£1.50UK or Euro equivalent and is a 32 page full colour first issue of an ongoing title from CDComics.

This a political action thriller that owes much to 'A Very British Coup' and takes the reader just seven years into a future that is all too similar to the present day.
