Robin Hood 2020 $1.99/£1.50UK Independent Comic Review

'Robin Hood 2020: There is No Conspiracy' was reviewed by Dustin from 'Comic $astards' USA, and got 4 out of 5 rating and here's his closing comment.

"This isn’t your typical Robin Hood story as it deals with conspiracies and corruption more than it is about stealing bags of money and slipping it to poor people. It’s a high concept story that has a great and very realistic conspiracy about England’s current economy. It’s rich with social commentary and so if you’re interested then you should check it out."

What follows are few short extracts from those reviews.

Part One: Empire State
"Craig tells a gripping story complimented by emotive artwork and adds depth to his characters to give the reader a fulfilling plot to sink their teeth into. All I need now is to get my grubby mitts on Issue 2 so I can see what happens next and re-absorb myself in this fantastic, crime-ridden, gritty world!"

Part Two: New Yorker
"The introduction of Tesla and the Wickedest Man in the World, occultist Aleister Crowley, was well worth the wait and I eagerly look forward to seeing what twists, surprises and storylines unfold in the last issue involving them and the rest of the masks."

Part Three: Harlem
"The level of detail in Daley’s story and environments, along with his fascinating backstories and character arcs, have been stitched together so precisely with a passion that can be admired during and long after finishing reading the comic. Not only does he seem to completely have a grasp of fact whilst blending it with fiction, but he can successfully craft a complete engrossing story that will you have you itching for more."

Horror Cult Film Reviews Manhattan 1930 Part Two

Horror Cult Films review the 40 page second issue of Manhattan 1930: NewYorker and here are some highlights from Bat's write up...

"Daley takes the reader into his bustling world and allows them to experience it first hand. My only issue with the comic is that I got so captivated by it that I didn’t realise I’d come to the end scene!"

"The introduction of Tesla and the Wickedest Man in the World, occultist Aleister Crowley, was well worth the wait and I eagerly look forward to seeing what storylines unfold in the last issue involving them and the rest of the masks."

"The Man In The White Suit, the first issue of CDComics’ Pulp Fiction series, but is left on an intriguing cliffhanger, urging the reader to continue with issue 2. Whilst reading the comic, I felt similarities to that of Watchmen, so if you enjoyed that then you’ll love Manhattan 1930."

Manhattan 1930, is more Pulp Fiction than horror, but Aliester Crowley the real life historical English Occultist and 'Wickedest Man in the World' is one of the main threats facing our two masked hero PI's, Song and Secret. Another character from the real world that appears in Manhattan 1930 is the legendary steampunk scientist, Nikola Tesla and let's just hope the conclusion and final part of this story doesn't disappoint Horror Cult Film's reviewer...
