FA Cup Fifth Round 2014

Looking at the sixteen teams left in the FA Cup this year, it's a surprise to see both Sheffield Clubs still doing the business, but just to prove fact isn't always stranger than fiction...

Why not check out these Football Macabre Horror Comics, it's 'Roy of the Rovers' meets 'CSI' in the 'Twilight Zone'

The Sheffield United version of the comic is available to download in two 33 page parts to read on your smartphone, tablet, PC, or android device from the websites listed below, priced around £1.30.

Both the SUFC and SWFC £2.50 Graphic Novel versions with 66 pages is available on CDRom from several Sheffield shops, Rare and Racey on Devonshire Green, Blackwells on Mappin Steet, Broomhill's Galaxy 4 and Record Collector, plus the Sheffield Space Centre on the Wicker.

All CDComics titles are available in the shops above or if you prefer and just don't live in Sheffield, here's the download websites...

US Reviewer Omnicomics said
"Daley's writing is strong. He's crafted a story that feels like an episode of television crime drama. It read and felt very much like an episode of BBC's Luther, the acclaimed detective drama. The way the story unfolds makes it difficult to predict. It's not one where halfway through you know who did it, why they did it and how. It's only at the end that everything comes together and Daley even uses character expository for the purpose of tying it all up in a neat little package."

Review
Love how this story is set out, it is split into three different tales almost. One takes place in 1873, one takes place in 1973, while the last takes place in 2011. The different time lines have different generations of families in them. The best one I thought was the 1973 one in which a young man and a Police Officer contemplate going into the tunnels under Sheffield in search of the demonic prankster. Has quite a cool horror vibe to it. Another good comic, hypnotic, and entertaining and worth a look at.

REVIEWS
"It’s rare that a comic completely catches me off guard. With this series though, I was caught off guard completely when I read it, so much so that I leaned back in my chair and was like, “Damn… you got me.” around half way through the second issue when the bomb is dropped on you... I was blown away." Comic $astards, US Reviewer gave it 5 out of 5
"Daley’s unique, dry wit is the highlight of his writing. He may write great stories, but when it comes to the closing pages, there’s no one else to compare. CD Comics output has been nothing but a treat to read, with Meadowhell being no exception. Another cult gem." Horror Cult Films UK Reviewer
"So much work goes into giving a realistic bend to his comics that it really sets them apart from others which just do not have the same level of crazy detail... I was really drawn into this world, desperate to find out just what was going on." Rotting Zombie UK Reviewer gave it 8 out of 10
